The Story Behind the Practice

Elite Sports Medicine Meets Regenerative Care

Dr. Fabian Morales is one of a handful of physicians in the United States double board-certified in both Sports Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He graduated from Rutgers Medical School, completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Jacobi Medical Center under the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he served as team physician for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball.

That foundation led to his role as Medical Director of Event Medical Services for the NBA, covering NBA Global Games, NBA Finals, NBA All-Star Games, and international basketball camps. He also served as Medical Director of USA Boxing, providing ringside medical coverage for youth and adult matches, and he became a pioneer in the clinical application of PRP and stem cell therapies for non-surgical orthopedics.

Dr. Morales has been core faculty at the Sports Medicine fellowship at North Shore/LIJ Hofstra School of Medicine in New York and supervised the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine rotation at the Kendall Regional Hospital Emergency Medicine residency in Miami. He is a sought-after speaker and educator on sports medicine, regenerative therapies, and age management.

Before joining Progressive Medical Center, Dr. Morales co-owned two medical clinics in South Florida: South Florida Walk-In Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, focused on sports injuries and orthopedic conditions, and The Sports and Wellness Institute of Miami, focused on regenerative and preventive medicine. At PMC, his work spans competitive athletes recovering from injury through patients managing chronic pain, neuropathy, and age-related decline. He is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in both English and Spanish.
