Background
Eighteen Years Building PMC
Joshua Lovern studied biology at Kennesaw State University and joined Progressive Medical Center 18 years ago. Over that time he has worked across most facets of the practice, moved onto the leadership team ten years ago, and now serves as Vice President of Business Development on PMC's executive committee.
Joshua oversees PMC's marketing, new business development, and executive operations. He has also spent more than a decade managing Progressive NutraCare, PMC's nutritional supplement operation, where he handles retail and e-commerce. That combined background, clinical exposure to functional and integrative medicine alongside retail and operational experience, shapes how he thinks about the PMC patient journey from the first phone call through ongoing care.
Outside the clinic, Joshua plays golf and follows Atlanta sports, with particular loyalty to the Braves and Falcons. Inside the clinic, his day-to-day focus is on making sure every part of the practice, whether a patient is calling for information, scheduling an appointment, or following up on a supplement protocol, works the way PMC's clinicians and patients need it to.
What Joshua Does at PMC
How This Role Supports Patients
Business development at PMC is not separate from patient care. Joshua's work ensures that the marketing, operations, and executive decisions behind the practice support the clinical team and the patients they serve.
Business Development and Marketing
Oversees how PMC reaches new patients and communicates its integrative approach. Responsible for making sure the practice is findable by the patients who need it.
Executive Operations
Serves on PMC's executive committee, with a decade of leadership experience inside the practice. Contributes to the operational decisions that shape patient experience, from scheduling capacity to intake processes.
Patient Experience Coordination
Has worked across most areas of PMC over 18 years. That breadth allows him to coordinate the practical details of a patient's journey, from the first inquiry through to ongoing care.
Progressive NutraCare Operations
Manages PMC's nutritional supplement operation, handling retail and e-commerce for the supplement protocols patients receive from their providers. Progressive NutraCare operates as a separate business; provider-prescribed supplements are available through it when patients need them.
