The Story Behind the Practice

Leading PMC's Infusion Department

Sarah Jeffries earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas and began her healthcare career in emergency medicine. More than five years in the ER taught her how to work under pressure, respond to clinical emergencies, and manage complex patients in high-acuity settings. She also spent time as a travel nurse, working across a range of healthcare settings around the country.

Through her own personal health journey, Sarah came to the same conclusion many PMC patients reach. Traditional allopathic medicine often failed to address the root causes of the health challenges she saw in the ER, and the challenges she faced herself. Emergency medicine could stabilize, but it did not always heal.

That realization led Sarah to integrative and functional medicine. Rather than staying in emergency departments, she pursued a role in a practice where advanced therapies and root-cause care could make a durable difference.

Today, Sarah leads PMC's IV therapy department, overseeing the nursing team that administers 24 different IV therapy protocols. Her background in emergency medicine, combined with her commitment to integrative care, shapes how the department runs: clinically rigorous, safety-first, and coordinated with each patient's overall treatment plan.

Outside the clinic, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors and is committed to ongoing professional development.

What to Expect

What Happens During Your IV Treatment

IV therapy sessions at PMC are administered by Sarah's nursing team in a clinical infusion suite. Your provider prescribes a specific IV protocol based on your lab results and treatment plan. Sarah's team prepares your infusion, monitors you throughout the session, and ensures your comfort.

Sessions typically range from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the protocol. Many patients relax, read, or work during treatment. The infusion suite is designed for comfort over the full length of a session.

Throughout your treatment, you have nursing support. Sarah's team monitors your vitals, checks on your comfort, and responds to any concerns. Because IV therapy is administered under physician supervision and Sarah's nursing oversight, you are in a safe, controlled clinical environment from start to finish.
